Do you know Lobinni? I read the brand story on its website and know it is registered in the Switzerland, is this true? I doubt it, a few watch brands in China have such a false story, claiming that they are made in a town of the Switzerland, actually they are just common watches made in China, and their movements are either from China or Japan, not C.O.S.C certified. However, I have seen many positive reviews about Lobinni, some doubt the brand’s origin but still like the quality of their watches, which are solid made with real functions. This is my first Lobinni watch, which looks classic on stainless steel case and black leather band, the dial design also makes it look a bit complicated but very easy to read. I have several dress watch with power reserve feature, except Parnis, this Lobinni is my most favorite.

The watch is slightly similar to a watch made by Jaeger LeCoultre, I do not know its name, but its dial certainly refers to the design of that Jaeger watch. Stainless steel case, silver dial and black leather strap, this is a very classic combination, every brand has such type of a dress watch in their product line.

The watch has a stainless steel case with a diameter of 41mm, which is not too big or too small, a suitable size for most wrist, the case thickness is 11.5mm, which can not be called ultra-thin, but it is already very thin for a mechanical watch with multiple functions. The case and round bezel are polished, the lugs have graceful arched design that make the watch fit your hand in a more comfortable way, the screw-down crown is onion-shaped and features a Lobinni logo on the frontal face, which is a “L” letter in a flower. The crown is designed to have a big size so that it will be much easier for the wearer to operate.

The white grid dial is the main point. The entire face has a slope design to show hour markers and minute scales, there are also several indicators in 3D to display different functions of the watch. First, the fan-shaped indicator positioned between 10 o’clock and 11 o’clock shows you the remaining power reserve energy, once the watch fully winded, the small hand will point at “40”. The day and night is displayed through the arch-shaped indicator at 2 o’clock, while the date is shown at 6 o’clock. All hour markers have a three-dimensional design, they have multiple cutting face, just like the central hour hand and minute hand. On the case, there are two small buttons up and under the crown, the one up the crown is to set day&night display, the button below the crown is set to adjust date.

The case back is a see-through sapphire crystal that shows an automatic movement in front of your eyes, it has beautiful decoration on the auto rotor and movement plates. Based on my experience, this is a very common Chinese movement that has a power reserve of about 38 hours once being fully winded. The black genuine leather band is made with calfskin leather that is soft and durable, it is fitted with a deployant clasp in stainless steel. The watch also has a rose gold version. Til now, the watch still works fine, no accuracy issue, 8 seconds faster each day is not a problem.

About Fiyta, you guys are more familiar with it than me, it is also more famous than other watches I introduced on my blog, certainly except Sea-gull, after this is the greatest national brand of China. Fiyta has a long history, it was founded in 1987 in Shenzhen of China, it is the only one listed watch company in China. Fiyta watches use movements supplied by Sea-gull, their watches have a very close style to the design of Swiss watches. I have several Sea-gull watches, but I never bought one Fiyta watch before, so this pilot’s watch is my first Fiyta watch, it has a price higher than that of the other watches in my collection.

I do not know if it is the J-20 model that made me decide to buy this watch, the J-20 fighter model sent with the watch is really attractive, certainly the watch is also a solid timepiece, the iron box is specially made for this special edition watch, Fiyta also shipped on extra band inside the box. There are black and blue models for this watch to choose, and I select the blue one, which comes with a blue dial and blue leather band.

On this Fiyta, its case profile and dial style describe a classic pilot’s watch. The case is made of 316L stainless steel, with a diameter of 42mm and 12mm thickness, the case and bezel are smoothly polished, versus two brushed sides, seeing from the side, the case has a beautiful arc with round and smooth corners that are perfectly polished. The screw-down crown feautres a sanded finish star logo on the polished face. On the solid case back that is fixed by star-shaped screws, there are a few engravings with their meanings. When take a closer look at its case and dial, I found this Fiyta has a similar outlook to IWC Big Pilot.

The blue radial dial has a delicate finish, there are three small dials, each has their own useful purpose. The big numeral hour markers refer to the design of IWC Big Pilot, they have been applied with lume material, so are the broad hour hand and minute hand in sword shape. Fiyta claims that the lume light can glow more than 4 hours in dark environments after absorbing enough light. The subdial at 6 o’clock is for time display in 24-hour display, the 3:00 subdial features a small hand pointing at currect month, its opposite subdial at 9 o’clock is week display. Each small hand on these subdials has a red tip, just like the central second hand. You can adjust the month by pushing the button at 2 o’clock, other features like time, week and date can be adjusted via the screw-in crown.

The blue leather band is made with calfskin leather, it feels with soft to wear, two loops help to fasten the end of the band, the pin buckle in stainless steel also looks very distinguished, I like it.

I knew Caluola several years ago, at that time, I worked in a watch company, they sold a lot of Chinese brand watches as well as replica watches, Caluola is one of the brands they were dealing with. I do not know the background of Caluola, but it is mostly likely from Guangzhou, there are a lot of micro brands like Caluola made in Guangzhou, perhaps the development of fake watch industry also gave birth to these types of Chinese brands. Caluola is not a homage and also does not make any models with sports styles, most of their watches are dress watches that looks elegant, some ladies watches have diamonds that look luxury.

Caluola does not copy the designs of Swiss brands, at most one or two elements of Cartier are used on some ladies models. Today, I want to introduce an interesting Caluola watch, why I describe a watch “interesting”? You will know the answer after seeing its dial. I have bought dozens of Chinese watches, some are like this Caluola, they really like to use subdials design and open a window on the dial. Take this Caluola watch for example, does the subdial at 9:00 really add extra function to the watch? I do not think so, it is just another hour hand, I even think it is redundant. The window opened at 6 o’clock, Caluola claims it is a tourbillon, that’s ridiculous, it is just an opening to show the working of balance wheel and gears. I do not know why they do these, maybe the purpose is simple, just to let the watch look more complicated than it is, so that they can sell it at a higher price than it worth in Chinese market, after all, most Chinese buyers know little about watches. But Caluola will never sell at such high prices in foreign markets. The subdial at 3 o’clock is displaying day and night, it is a false moon phase, but it is the only subdial that is useful to the wearer, because the small seconds hand is moving on.

I still like the watch although I complained a lot above, I choose the rose gold model with brown leather strap, the watch has a very uniform coloring, wearing it can both show your identity and luxury taste. The watch will be a perfect timepiece for men who usually need to wear suits to attend some formal occasions. The watch has a case diameter of 43mm and 12mm in thickness, it is completely polished with curved lugs to fit your hand in a more comfortable way, by the way, the straight lugs are polished smoothly with round edge to guarantee your wearing comfort.

About the dial, its finish is good, even better than the other dress watches in my collection. The functions on the dial I complained above are not big deal for most people, after all it’s a rule in the watch-making industry. The good craftsmanship is reflected through its two hands and hour markers, both sword hands are not flat, but a little ridgy because of their multiple cutting faces. The center of each hand is applied with white lume material.

I like the movement displayed through the transparent sapphire crystal back, it has a decorated auto rotor with brand name “Caluola” engraving in black. There are very simple striped polishings on the auto rotor and movement plates. For its price offered for Chinese customers, I think Caluola should choose an automatic movement with date feature for this watch, to show the date at 6 o’clock instead of a false tourbillon device there. Considering all aspects, this Caluola is a watch that can show the elegance of a dress watch to the maximum.

Fairwhale Skeleton 42mm

Fairwhale also makes watches? I may had this question before I see this watch. I know Fairwhale, it is a Chinese clothing brand, I bought blue jeans from them before, I just did not know they also make watches. Now, Fairwhale has a wide production line that covers clothing, leather goods and watches, it also owns several sub brands, now Fairwhale has become a famous luxury group founded in China. I did not buy Fairwhale watch before, so this is my first time, the watch looks ok, just worth its price. Fairwhale has a good reputation in fields of clothing and leather goods, few people know their watches, for such clothing brand that also makes watches, I won’t spend too much on their watches, unless they make good homages, while Fairwhale absolutely won’t make homages, each watch has their own design features.

The Fairwhale watch I received one week ago is totally a black one, they also have white stainless steel and rose gold models, with bracelet or leather strap. Fairwhale watches’ main audience is the young people, so, many models have bold designs that do not look that mature. I chose a mesh steel bracelet for this watch, while the seller sent me a black leather band for free.

The case is 42mm in diameter and only 12mm in thickness, it has black coating plated, so is the mesh bracelet. I like the black one, it looks cool, for the other models in stainless steel or rose gold, they also look fashionable because of the dial decoration. The black dial looks nice, I think many young people will like the style of this dial, several small dials and openwork, even they do not know what is the real purpose of each small dial. Actually the two subdials you see on this watch are not really necessary. First, the small dial at 9 o’clock is a repeated 12-hour display, the small dial at 3 o’clock is a day and night display, there is no hand on this subdial, but you can see the sun and stars patterns. The big opening at 6 o’clock shows the working balance wheel and gears inside, Fairwhale has applied white lume material on hour hand, minute hand and the small hand, they will glow a strong green light in the dark.

The watch features a display case back to show you an automatic movement that comes from China. The decoration on the movement rotor and plates looks ok. After wearing the watch for one week, there is a waste of 12 seconds daily error, but that’s ok for me, after all I think it just worth the money I paid for. Whatever, the Fairwhale does not deserve our extra attention unless you are a fan of their jeans and luxury leather goods.

It seems like that many micro brands in China have the homage of Rolex Submariner, whether the black sub or green hulk, they are very popular homages, a lot of people still bought them even they know it is not Rolex. Dozens of micro brand watches in Chinese watch industry know how to make a rapid success by creating homages of some popular Rolex models, Pagani Design is such a brand, and with the promotions of E-commerce platform Aliexpress, the watches designed by Pagani Design can be delivered to every corner of the world, and almost every person can get one Pagani Design watch because of their low price. The green watch from Pagani Design I am going to introduce today is a good homage of Rolex Submariner 116610LV, actually in my collection there are several pieces have a similar look to 116610LV Sub, but I love this Pagani watch most.

I have several Pagani Design watches, most of them are homages of Rolex and one Tag Heuer homage, but this green one is my best Sub homage I have ever bought. It has an excellent quality and a great value for money, the case and bracelet is solid stainless steel made, with a stable Japanese automatic movement, it is the best Chinese watch I have bought at this price point less than 90 US Dollars.

The case has a diameter of 40mm, case thickness is about 13mm, actually Pagani Design also makes the latest 41mm Sub homage, both 40mm and 41mm available in different dial and bezel color. The case is fully brushed, except two sides and the crown guards, which are polished. The crown is screw-down, compared with the Sub, the crown guards are little short. The bezel is good, it fits the middle case perfectly and there is no loose feeling, when rotating it, the bezel action is superb with a nice click, no backplay or movement otherwise. A little pity that the bezel insert is not made with green ceramic. The bezel pearl has a round and domed face, it has white lume coating filled and will emit a blue lume light in the dark.

The green dial is under protection of a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with lents 2.5x. Both hands and hour markers are applied with lume material, they will glow at night, the same blue lume light as the bezel pearl, the lume won’t last very long, but after absorbing enough light during the day, the lume still looks very strong. Benz hand is an exact clone, the innder bezel is empty without engravings, each hour marker stands a little higher on the dial, but not too high, if Pagani Design uses a 3D logo at 12 o’clock, the dial will have an enhanced sense of layering and look better. By the way, my friend has a super clone green Sub, after comparing it with this homage, I found there is slight difference in the green color.

The watch has a display case back with a good exhibition of the movement, which is NH35 of Seiko. I bought one Seiko five years ago, it still works fine, so I trust this movement quality. I have had this Pagani watch for three weeks, now the movement has a waste of about 10 seconds each day. The bracelet is all brushed with screws, its edges and corners are a little straight and sharp, that’s ok for me, I have the bracelet polished more smooth and round in a store. Any way, considering its price, the watch is a perfect homage, I give this watch an eight out of ten.

Parnis is still my most favorite Chinese niche brand, also the homage watch I love most. Parnis has produced a lot of good quality homage watches for us, while the most classic one should be the Parnis Power Reserve, I think many of you guys have bought one several years ago, it is also the one that brought me into the world of homage. Parnis was founded in Guangzhou, this brand has made a big contribution to the development of homage watch industry in China, now many niche brands are copying the development route of Parnis. The Parnis watch we will talk today does not look that classic like the power reserve model, but its multiple functions indeed attract a lot attention.

I saw the words “moon phase” in the title when purchasing the watch, absolutely this is not a watch with real moon phase function. The small dial you see at 12 o’clock that features sun and stars images is not for moon phase, it is just a time show in 24-hour format with day and night display. I think a lot of you guys will love such type of watch with so many functions integrated into one, while sold at a very reasonable price. On the white dial, there are also week and date display, which are positioned at 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock separately. The case has a diameter of 43.5mm, plus the slim round bezel, the dial has a large space to show every element together in a less crowded way. Central hour hand and minute hand are lancet-shaped, together with the slender sweeping second hand, they are a perfect interpretation of the classic. The window opened at 6 o’clock with two ends fixed on the dial by blue screws is not showing you the tourbillon device, a fasle tourbillon, it is just displaying a golden balance wheel in front of your eyes.

It is very easy to adjust the week and date, there are two buttons up and under the crown. You can press the button at 2 o’clock to adjust week, and press the button at 4 o’clock to adjust date, well, there will be instructions in a manual book shipped with the watch.

The watch is made with 316L stainless steel, it has a black leather band, the weight of the entire watch is only 85 grams. Unfortunately the crystal is not sapphire, just mineral, that’s ok, after all the cost of the watch is less than 100 US Dollars. From the crystal back, we can see a golden movement inside, I do not like the golden color, I think a silver movement will look better on this watch with a see-through back, while Parnis can use a solid back if they choose a golden movement for this watch.

In my opinion, if you are looking for a casual watch to wear in the office and do not want to pay more than 100 US Dollars, then Parnis must be the best choice, they have two perfect models for you, one is with power reserve feature, the other is this watch with miltiple functions. Do not buy other homages at the same price point, they are not as good as Parnis.

Unfortunately the green bezel insert is not ceramic made, I think many people will decide to buy this watch if it uses ceramic to make the green bezel. Now, a ceramic bezel is a necessary feature for many modern diving watches, perhaps to save the cost, Sea-gull did not decide to use a ceramic bezel on this watch. Ocean Star is a diver’s watch series from Sea-gull, but I am not sure if this watch is from its Ocean Star series, because I do not see a star logo on the dial. This Sea-gull is the diver’s watch I have owned with the most simple designs. There are only hours, minutes and seconds display, there are even no date, it is ok for me, simple things always keep in fashion.

I received the watch three days ago, the seller sent me one pair of black rubber band and one wrist band as a gift. Like the watch, the Sea-gull box looks more high-end than those niche brands from China.

The watch has a big case that is made with solid 316L stainless steel, the case diameter is measured up to 44mm, which is bigger than most diver’s watches in the market, the case is about 13mm in thickness, together with the solid stainless steel bracelet, this big watch feels a little heavy on my wrist. The bezel tooth has a similar design to that of Submariner, the bezel is uni-directional rotating, there is a “S” logo in satin finish on the crown face. The first link of the bracelet is perfectly connected with the case head, and keep in the horizontal line with the curved lugs, so the entire case can fit your hand more comfortable.

The dial is simple, but it has all necessary conditions that make it a good diver’s watch. Big hour markers, wide hand design and strong lume. And we can read from the dial that the watch is water resistant to 100 meters, so you can wear the watch when swimming, surfing and diving. The green dial looks special, it is not pure green, it looks a little black on the edge of the dial, while greener on the center. The lume on the hour markers hand hands is green in dark conditions, so is the triangle bezel marker at 12 o’clock.

We can see the movement through the crystal back, it is a ST25 automatic movement developed by Sea-gull, there are beautiful fish-scale decoration on the auto rotor and movement plate, words “SEA-GULL” and its logo are also engraved. Sea-gull claims the movement has a power reserve of 45 hours, 25 jewels and 21,600BPH, after 3-day wearing, the watch is about 10 seconds faster each day, well, this is under the inaccuracy range of the movement. The stainless steel bracelet has a different finish from that of other watches, the middle links are brushed, while the links at both sides are polished, the contrast in finish is strong. The bracelet has a great quality, first it is solid made, second, the gap between each section of links is very small. Well, I like the watch to be fitted with the rubber band, it is not that heavy.

Now, Pagani Design has become one of my most favorite homage brands, in the past, I loved Parnis most, but now as long as Rolex published a new model, I will go to the website of Pagani Design to see if there is a homage of it. Many people in various watch forums are also talking about this watch, they love it, perhaps the main reason is the cheap price, but in my opinion, the quality has been recognized, even it is not the best, but it is the best option to choose at the same price point. I have bought several Pagani Design watches, my most favorite one is the Daytona Paul Newman homage, several days ago, I got another watch from Pagani Design, it is a full gold watch, its bezel and dial design remind me of the blue Sub 116618LB.

The watch is in full yellow gold tone, the inner material is 316L stainless steel, there is a layer of yellow gold coating, I am sure the gold layer is not thick because the price is there, it is also not the 18K gold we usually see on some replicas, if you do not take a good care of the watch, the gold will fade in a short period. Well, that’s not the issue I care about, I won’t wear it every day, because there are dozens of watches in my collection. The case has a correct size, the same 40mm as Submariner, case is also not thick, which is 13mm. I appreciate the finish on the case and bracelet, the alternative usage of brushing and polishing gives the wearer a great visual experience. Every link of the bracelet has gold coating on each side, a lot of golden watches at this price point can not achieve this level of craftsmanship. The bezel has a blue insert, which is not ceramic made, the lume pearl at 12 o’clock looks too white, lack of some transparency like the pearl on Submariner.

The dial looks nice, the blue color is very close to the blue on the bezel, like the bezel pearl, every hour marker is filled with white luminous material, the benz hand is also a feature we can see on Sub. The date window positioned at 3 o’clock features a black font, with a 1.5x magnifier attached on the sapphire crystal. The inner bezel is empty, there are no engravings, it is my fortune that the seller picks up a good watch for me, because the central second hand can stop exactly in the middle of the triangle 12H marker, which is perfectly aligned with the bezl pearl and the 60-minute scale.

From the printings of “JAPAN MOVT”, we know the watch is equipped with a Japanese automatic movement, actually Pagani Design also claims that the movement is a Seiko NH35. I know a lot about Japanese Miyota 9015 movement, but about Seiko NH35, I only know it is a very common and old movement, but the quality and stability can be trusted. I have several watches bought from China niche brands use this movement, their inaccuracy is about 10 seconds to 25 seconds, no big issues, I can accept as long as there will be no repairing issues within several years.

You may know little about this brand, but Pagani Design has become one of the best-selling niche brand watches and has a good reputation. There are a lot of choices on its site, what I appreciate more is that Pagani Design can always release their homages in time when Rolex publishes new models, such as the GMT-Master II Sprite and Root Beer, you can find their homages on Pagani Design website. I have a lot of homage watches bought from China, my most favorite ones are San Martin and Heimdallr, but I have a special feeling about Pagani Design that drives me to buy their watches continuously, Pagani Design watches’ prices are not expensive, very reasonable, but they do not lower the quality to reduce the cost, you will find a perfect homage from Pagani Design with acceptable quality.

This Pagani Design has a blue and red bezel, which is not ceramic made, it’s a pity. There is a red GMT hand on the dial, and the watch features a jubilee-style bracelet. The case back is see-through and we can see movement inside. I can not say this is a perfect homage, if it uses a ceramic bezel and solid case back, that will be better. Because the aluminum bezel is in blue and red color, people call such Rolex GMT-Master II “Pepsi”.

I received this watch in a Pagani Design box, which is small, with a watch, a screwdriver and a cloth inside. Its case is absolutely not made with 904L stainless steel, but 316L stainless steel, the case has a diameter of 40mm and 14mm in thickness, the case is brushed. The bezel is not ceramic, but is ok for me, after all the price of the watch is not high, and the color transition in number “6” and “18” looks ok. The screw-in crown features a Pagani Design logo. This is the most cost-effective GMT Pepsi homage watch I have ever seen.

I love the dial, first, hand set and hour markers are imitations of the GMT-Master Pepsi, including the GMT hand with a red stem and triangle tip. There will be a blue lume light in dark conditions, on this homage, only elements on the dial have been applied with luminous material, not like some other homages from San Martin or Heimdallr, whose bezel markers are also with lume material, that’s not good. However, the lume on the dial of this Pepsi GMT won’t last long, well, I was prepared for that at this price point. I am happy the cyclops on the sapphire crystal is aligned, perhaps the seller did a good QC and select a good one.

The watch is equipped with a Jubilee-style bracelet, it can also be fitted with an Oyster bracelet. The middle three-section links are polished, while the links at both sides are brushed, the gap between each link is a little big, before wearing the watch, I suggest you check each screw on the bracelet to secure them. By the way, the edge of the bracelet is a little sharp, well, at such a price point under 100 US Dollar, I did not expect too much. I have had this watch for five days, its accuracy is ok, a bit fast, but only 8 seconds faster each day, that’s ok. By the way, the red GMT hand works in a 24-hour format, it is pointing at the hour marker on the bi-color bezel.

Naviforce, you may not know this brand before, because almost all watches from them are quartz watches, like me and most of you guys, we usually focus more on mechanical watches. Naviforce, the name is nice, it is created in China, their watches are selling very well on aliexpress, one of the best-selling quartz watches. I do not know this brand too much, there are too many brands like this in China, with quartz movement, Naviforce can sell their watches at very reasonable prices, I think this is the main reason why people choose it. For such watch like Naviforce, which is sold at a cheap price, the main customer group must be those young people like fashion items, or students who can not spend too much.

The Naviforce has a cool full black outlook, the case and bracelet have pvd black coating on stainless steel material, the multiple functions displayed on the dial is the core design of the entire watch, while the Naviforce logo on the right enhances the temperament of the watch.

The case has a big size, which is up to 46mm in diameter, this is the biggest watch among all my China watches collection, it is also much bigger than most mechanical watches I have seen. The case has a thickness of 15mm, I think it is a little thick for such a quartz watch. Both case and bracelet are brushed, the watch does not feel heavy even it has a big size, the three buttons, including the middle crown, have a glossy finish that contrasts with the matte black finish on case. On the front face of the crown, there is a well-finished Naviforce logo.

The dial has an unique texture, there are three subdials in gear-shaped, each has a black circle inside with markers, each small dial has a specific purpose, the date is displayed through the window at 6 o’clock, you can adjust it through the button at 4 o’clock. The week is shown on the subdial at 12 o’clock, you can adjust through the button at 2 o’clock, the 24-hour displays at 9 o’clock, it can be adjusted through the crown. There is a Naviforce logo at 3 o’clock, the central second hand is in bright red color that is eye-catching.
