Just back from a holiday, I am not a watch expert, I even do not know too much knowledge about watches, but after doing reviews on some Chinese watches, I want to share my thoughts. Have you ever bought any Chinese watch? Like a Sea-gull or Fiyta? I have several Chinese watches and I do like them, but almost all friends around me know little about Chinese watches, they even do not know Sea-gull, which I think is the hottest Chinese watch, not to mention Shanghai and other watches. So, where is the future of these traditional Chinese watches?
In Chinese watch market, whether Shanghai, Beijing or Sea-gull, each of them has a certain market share, they have a high reputation among the Chinese, but outside China, watch fans seem not likely to buy a watch at a great expense from these three Chinese watch companies, they are more willing to choose from Seiko or other micro brand watches, some people are even more familiar with those cheap homages made in China than the big three traditional Chinese watches.
I found an interesting thing about Rossini, they produced the following watch, which looks very similar to Rolex Oyster Perpetual, many colors available just like Rolex. I thought a Chinese brand that has a long history and high reputation won’t make a homage watch, Rossini is not as hot as Sea-gull, but they are also very famous, copying the design of others is inconsistent with their brand positioning. So, where is the future of these watches like Rossini?
